The Parrot is a dance performance connected with the interpretation of verbal language and its utterance both as pure image and physical action. It appeared and disappeared in between the islands of Ambon and Java, while repeating itself.

Jacopo Miliani (b. 1979, Italy) works mostly with photography, installation and performance. His research focuses on the creation of personal images but also on the dynamics of language and communication. The artist’s use of dance and theatre attempts to question the role of the audience and how we interact in a world mediated by images that belong to collective imagination.
